We are a family run business in the Jewellery Quarter.

Since 1948 we have been supplying embossing tools and marking punches to the Jewellery trades, along with a well-established client base covering the UK and Europe.

We were the first engraving company to buy a high precision Kuhlman engraving machine in the UK back in the early 1990’s and now have 13 CNC machines with the capability of 3 & 4 axis rotary engraving along and two CNC lathes. Alongside this continued investment we have several seats of engraving software including Carveco, ArtCam and Cimagraph.

We have taken the old engravers art and profession and transferred this into the digital age so that we as engravers can cope with high detailed precise work.

We also have an in-house tool room for the production of tools to customers’ own specification tool drawings using all types of material such as steel, brass and aluminium used by the engravers profession. With the latest technology we can engrave to a constant standard and on any 3 dimensional surface.

In June 2018 we were delighted to welcome Die Design into the Howard Bros family. Die Design have been in business for 28 years and have an extensive knowledge of the trade. As traditional handcrafting die sinkers they have allowed us to go back to basics and broaden our knowledge, combining the traditional methods with the new.

Over the years they have produced a range of enamel badges, cufflinks, badges, medals, lapel pins and much more.
